Test Setup:

  • Core i7-940 at 2.93GHz (133MHz x 22) TurboBoost and power saving states disabled
  • Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 Motherboard (F6 BIOS) with NEC USB 3 chipset
  • 6GB DDR3 1,600MHz memory
  • MSI N460GTX Cyclone Graphics Card
  • Windows 7 Home Premium x64
  • Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB hard drive
We used the same USB 3 port on the rear I/O for both flash drives. Both flash drives came FAT32 pre-formatted, but we found slight performance differences between this and NTFS so tested both to check.
